Unsterbliche Qualle ?

Nun ja nicht ganz.

Die Qualle 'Turritopsis nutricula' ist nur in der Lage aus dem erwachsenen Stadium in das Stadium eines Kindes zu wechseln. Und dies kann es nach bisherigen Erkenntnissen beliebig oft wiederholen.
Also kann diese Art von Qualle nicht am Alter sterben ;-)

Jellyfish usually die after propagating but Turritopsis reverts to a sexually immature stage after reaching adulthood and is capable of rejuvenating itself.
